Rooms to Rent Plaza Hostel
The Plaza Hostel is on the main plaza of the town of San Pedro directly across from the second oldest church in the Western Hemisphere. On the weekends, the plaza is usually filled with townsfolk and children playing, and there may be a local basket ball tournament underway or kids' soccer game. During national and religious holidays, the plaza is the starting point for parades and processions steeped in tradition. The two story gray building where the Plaza Hostel is located is more than 100 years old and was once the home of Panama’s famous Rogelio Sinán, author of many poems and books, most notably the Latin America genre classic La Isla Magica written in the style of magic realism popularized by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. The three bedroom apartment on the top floor is a traditional Tabogano islander design with a front balcony to view parades and religious processions and a back balcony with an ocean view. Each bedroom is equipped with a double bed, desk, foldout couch, shelves, and WIFI connection. The Library has a collection of books in several languages and is outfitted for comfortable reading. The kitchen, with microwave, stove, and oven, allows visitors the choice of preparing their own delicious dining delights of fresh fish and mariscos caught locally. The Plaza Hostel is above the Plaza Café, Taboga’s only authentic sidewalk café. It's been said that the café serves the best cup of coffee in Panama, and a little store inside sells locally made hats and hammocks. The Plaza Café is a great place to relax and enjoy Tabogano life as it passes by and a place to meet interesting people. The Plaza Hostel enjoys morning sea breezes and afternoon mountain breezes with stunning views of the town with its green mountain backdrops and a 180 degree view of Taboga Bay with post panamax ships entering the Panama Canal in the distance.

Apartment to Rent Patio Apartment
The Patio Apartment is just off the main plaza of the town of San Pedro directly across from the second oldest church in the Western Hemisphere. The apartment is in the same building as the Plaza Café, Taboga’s only authentic sidewalk café. Unlike any other apartment or hotel on the island, this apartment has its own fenced patio, 150 square meters of green area that is private and secluded. It's a great area to bring your pets so that they, too, can be with family on holiday. Don´t leave anyone behind. Now you can take your best friends with you. Kids are safe there, too, and the patio is a great place to relax outside. The Patio Apartment can accomodate up to 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children. The kitchen is outfitted with new cookery, stove top, and a microwave where you can prepare your own delicious recipes of fresh seafood caught daily by local fishermen. A free cup of capuccino is offered at the Plaza Café that´s been said to serve the best cup of coffee in Panama, and a little store inside sells locally made hats and hammocks. The quiet and security of the Patio Apartment cannot be found anywhere near the center of town. A short 5 minute walk takes you to Playa Honda for a refreshing swim or the main plaza to attend masses in the second oldest church in the western hemisphere.

Residencial Turistico Mundi Mundi's residencies are located next to the San Pedro medical center on the north side, very near to the town's main plaza and church. On the south side are the old ruins of Spaniards who founded the island in the 1530s.
